The Pulse
With the best piece of Black Opal that I had, I couldn't resist, wrapping this stone in the manner of which I did. Everytime I looked at the brilliant colors and how they changed at every rotation, It felt as though this stone were alive...
This stone is a 1.6ct, Black opal from Lightning Ridge, Australia. It measures 13 x 6 x 3mm, and has the following colors which were a bit of a challenge to capture. Golden Orange, Apple Green, and Lagoon Blue. This stone comes from TrueBlueOpals, a verified seller on Opal Auctions.com
I would like to wrap this stone in straight 14kt gold wire and the germaniun Sterling Silver with a touch of rose gold. This Opal deserves just that. Cost would be about $400-$500 dollars, just for the wire.
This would be a great start for a pendant for the Jewelry Competition, just add gems and the wire.
I tried my best to capture the colors of this stone through the still photographs, If some are blurred a bit, squint and look closer.
The Gem grade colors are magnificent, the electric green and the blue transform into yellow orange and red as the stone is rotated.
When I bought this stone it was only with what was showing in the pictures below.
I polished it a little more and it came to life with more color revealed.
The 1st picture just above really shows the magnificent color.
